PDMA Sindh has launched CBDRM Model for the selected districts of Sindh. The CBDRM model requires the registration of volunteers UC vise for facing the future disaster. The volunteer shall be trained and at the disposal of Assistant Commissioner. The volunteers shall be paid certain stipend during training and disasters.
Presently the invitation for the registration of volunteers is hereby extended for following districts.

Hyderabad
Qambar Shahdadkot
Tando Muhammad Khan
Naushero Feroze
Nawabshah
Shikarpur
Ghotki
Sukkur
Sanghar
For district Khairpur including UCs are : Mohail, Sardar Ji Bhatyoon, Shaheed Naseem Kharal and Razi Dero.
Currently we are closing registrations for Chakiwara , Korangi , Landhi, Ittehad Town, Kemari, Begna, Chohar Jamali, Ladiyoon,Mughal Been, Akil, Gajidero, Izat ji Wandh, Rato Dero, Mithi, Kaloi, Bhitaro, Phant, Ahmad Shah, Dodo Soomro, Soman Sarkar and Pir Bodla because we have selected the volunteers as per our criteria.
- Criteria for the membership
Age: 18-45
Education: At least matric, Ideally Intermediate Level education
Experience: At Least five years’ experience in some trade skill or vocation
ome level of activist of leadership qualities and standing in the community.
Has an aptitude for helping other and volunteerism.
Team Player and good standing / character (verifiable from community elders)
In addition to the aforementioned criteria, the potential candidates should be medically fit and energetic to make effective use of the training. Furthermore, the potential candidates should be interested in disaster resilience and helping the communities and should display a propensity for volunteerism and learning. This would greatly help in achieving a solid impact from the training exercise by creating as long term resource at the district level.
Special sessions would be arranged for the women, elders, specially abled and children to raise awareness and sensitize them on preparedness and response to various disasters and make the community members aware of their special needs and effective role in meeting them.
Potential Members
UCDMCs the possible members can be :
Union Council Secretary.
2-4 members from each DMCs with at least 1 female representatives.
Local government officials.
In-charge Medical Officer, Member from BHU/ Dispensary.
School Representative- Member from High School /Middle.
Representative of Civil Society Organizations.
Religious Leader/ Imam Masjid.
Representative from vulnerable group women, minorities and disabled people.
The members can be further added and reduced as per requirement of community.
